Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the tools and services provided at vitalfewprep.com by Vital Few Software LLC, operator of Vital Few Prep ("Vital Few", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using any service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of service

Vital Few provides exam preparation software for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification: practice questions, diagnostics, spaced repetition and reference material. Access requires an active paid access period.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Payment and access

Access is sold as a recurring subscription.

Monthly plan: $19.99, billed every month.

Quarterly plan: $49.99, billed every three months.

Eligible first-time subscribers receive 7 days of full access at no charge. The selected plan begins billing when the trial ends unless it is canceled first. The price, billing cadence, trial terms, and cancellation path are shown next to the subscription button.

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cancellation is self-service: Cancel in the billing portal; access continues through the end of the paid period.

Returning subscribers are not eligible for another introductory trial and are charged when they subscribe again. Prices are displayed in USD and may change at any time; a price change never affects a period you have already paid for.

3a. Platform access

The Vital Few app for iPhone and iPad is separate from the website, and app purchases are billed through Apple. At launch, website and app purchases are handled on their respective platforms. A purchase on one platform does not automatically grant access on the other.

3b. Communications and program availability

We may send transactional or service messages needed to operate your account, provide access, process billing, answer support requests, or deliver other requested services. We are not currently sending commercial newsletters and do not promise a newsletter schedule. Where newsletter signup is offered, submitting an email creates a pending record; the address becomes subscribed only after the person clicks the confirmation link. A person who previously unsubscribed must confirm again before being subscribed.

The affiliate program is closed at launch and is not open for new applications. These Terms do not promise affiliate access, referral discounts, commissions, or payouts.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

5. No guarantee of exam results

Vital Few is study material. It is not a guarantee that you will pass any examination. Readiness scores, diagnostics and practice results are indicators based on your performance here; they are not predictions, and they carry no weight with any certifying body. Your result depends on your own preparation and on the examination you sit.

5a. Not affiliated with PMI

Vital Few is an independent provider and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, or sponsored by the Project Management Institute, Inc. (PMI). PMP, PMI and Project Management Professional are registered marks of the Project Management Institute, Inc., used here solely to describe the examination this material prepares you for. We are not an Authorized Training Partner and this material does not confer PDUs or contact hours unless expressly stated.

5b. Examination content

Our questions are written by us. They are not reproduced from, and do not claim to reproduce, any live examination. Reproducing real examination content would breach PMI's certification agreement, and we do not do it.

6. Intellectual property

All software, templates, and content on this site are owned by Vital Few Software LLC. Your paid access grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the tools for personal study. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute access.

7. Study records

Your answers, confidence choices, progress, and mock-exam responses may be stored so the service can preserve and personalize your preparation. Canceling paid access or allowing it to expire does not automatically delete your account or study records. Our handling of this information, including the current manual data-request workflow and retained-record exceptions, is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Refunds

Eligible first-time subscribers receive 7 days of full access at no charge and can cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. Charges made after the trial, including renewal charges, are final except where required by law or where Vital Few approves a correction for a billing or service issue, as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Purchases made through the Vital Few app on iPhone or iPad are billed by Apple and follow Apple’s cancellation and refund process.

9. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service outages or interruptions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vital Few shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Vital Few harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the service must be brought in a state or federal court located in New Hampshire, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
